What We Believe

The Nature of God: We believe in one God, who is holy, infinitely perfect, and eternally exists in three persons: The Father, Jesus Christ our Lord, and the Holy Spirit, the giver of life. We also believe that God created the heavens and the earth out of nothing by His spoken word for His own glory.

Revelation and Authority: We believe that God has revealed Himself and His truth through the created order, the Scriptures, and supremely in Jesus Christ. The Bible, comprised of 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 books in the New Testament, is the inspired Word of God, both verbally and in its entirety. It is fully trustworthy and holds supreme and final authority in all that it teaches.

Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is both true God and true man, existing in one person without sin. He was crucified, died, and bodily rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and now serves as Lord of all, High Priest, and Advocate.

Creation and the Fall: We believe that God created the historical parents of the entire human race, Adam and Eve, in His image and for His glory. They were created distinctly from all other living creatures and in an original state of innocence. However, our first parents sinned by rebelling against God’s revealed will, resulting in physical and spiritual death. Consequently, all human beings are born with a sinful nature, leading them to sin in thought, word, and deed.

Marriage: We believe that God designed marriage to be a lifelong union between one man and one woman, determined by gender assigned at conception, for purposes including companionship, sexual intimacy, procreation, and displaying His glory and love. Sexual intimacy is blessed within the context of covenant marriage, and all other expressions outside this framework are condemned.

Satan and Evil: We acknowledge the existence of Satan, sin, and evil powers, which have been defeated by God through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Satan remains active as the prince of the power of the air.

Atonement and Salvation: We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, triumphing over all evil. Those who believe in Him are justified by His shed blood and forgiven of their sins. Salvation is a gift provided exclusively through faith in Jesus
Christ.

Regeneration and the Holy Spirit: All who receive the gift of eternal salvation through faith in Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit, becoming children of God. The Holy Spirit indwells and empowers believers, enabling them to understand the Scriptures, live godly lives, and engage in ministry.

The Church: The church is the body of Christ and comprises all who trust in Jesus Christ. Its purpose is to be God’s redeemed community, proclaiming the gospel of God’s redemptive love through our Lord Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth through both word and deed.

Resurrection and Eschatology: We believe in the bodily resurrection of all humanity. Those who reject salvation through Jesus Christ face eternal conscious punishment, while those who repent and receive Jesus as their Savior are granted everlasting life and fellowship with God. We also anticipate the return of Jesus Christ to earth, a future event marked by His personal, visible, and imminent return, in power and great glory. This return will involve gathering His elect, raising the dead, judging the nations, and fulfilling His kingdom.
